The Preston Trail Summer Internship program will help you grow in your knowledge and understanding of church ministry while participating in the day-to-day realities of ministry work. By the end of this internship, we hope students will have greater insight into a possible future in vocational ministry, a better understanding of their own unique wiring and a greater discernment for their future. This is a paid internship for 12 weeks ($13 per hour) for 25-40 hours a week (varies per role).

What will a typical week look like?
- Regular time with a supervisor to mentor, disciple, and guide their workload and responsibilities.
- Meetings specific to the department the internship exists within as well as churchwide meetings and trainings.
- Weekly “hang and train” for leadership development, for all interns from all departments.
- Past that, not much in ministry is typical or predictable, therefore your schedule will vary greatly depending on the position you apply for.
Application Timeline
Applications for internships begin October 2024 and will remain open until all positions are filled or March 1, 2025 at the latest.
How long is the internship?
It is a 12-week program starting May 20, 2025 and ending August 12, 2025.
Is this a paid internship?
Yes, this is a paid internship, hours per week are dependent on the role (see above). The hourly rate is $13 an hour.
Who is eligible to apply?
Internships are open to any young adult who graduated high school in or before May 2024 and is interested in learning more about full-time ministry. Applicants should be available to work at least 11 of the 12 summer weeks.
