  • Who can apply?
    • Courses are designed for any adult 18+
  • Where will courses be held?
    • Classes will be held at the Preston Trail Community Church campus in Frisco, Texas.
  • When does Equip meet?
    • Equip meets Wednesdays from 6:30-9 p.m.
  • How much does Equip cost?
    • Each 6-week course is $200, plus books (members of the Preston Trail family receive a 50% discount—$100 per course, plus books).
  • What is the time commitment for Equip?
    • Unlike typical college or seminary courses, the two-year Equip program will meet three hours each week for five weeks, from September through June. Equip will not hold classes during July and August.
  • What are the pre-requisites for enrollment in Equip?
    • Equip has no pre-requisites. While designed to be taken in the sequence they are scheduled, courses can be taken in any order.
  • What is the projected workload?
    • Each course will require about 100 pages of weekly reading, brief online interaction, and a final project.
  • Can I audit (observe only) a course?
    • No. All courses are designed to be for participants only.
  • What do I receive if I complete all ten Equip courses?
    • Students who successfully complete all ten courses will graduate with a Certificate in Biblical and Theological Leadership.
  • How are the classes broken down?
    • Equip comprises four Bible, two theology, and four practical leadership courses.
  • How long does it take to finish the program?
    • Typically, a student completes the program in two years
  • Is childcare available?
    • Yes. Limited childcare will be available for a small fee on a first come, first served basis. For further information or to request childcare, please email equip@prestontrail.org
  • Is Equip an accredited program?
    • No. It is a certificate-issuing program only.
  • What if I desire an accredited Master’s Degree?
    • Equip provides an MA program through a partnership with B.H. Carroll Theological Institute. As a teaching church, Preston Trail partners with B.H. Carroll to provide quality graduate-level education. For more information, please visit bhcarroll.edu.
  • What if I desire an accredited Bachelor’s Degree?
